Thank you for the kind mention! I’m passionate about encouraging others to start writing as well. For me, this running community thrives on its stories, and I believe those stories deserve to be shared far and wide. There’s no such thing as “good” or “bad” writing, nor “exciting” or “boring” stories—whatever you write from the heart has value and a rightful place in the world.

I think of feet kicked up on kayaks. The Whitefish River. Slowly drifting on a sunny summer day. You can't force the river to flow faster.

It is reminiscent of early blogging, with a double-shot of network effect. I remember being so awestruck back then, that you could build an audience of strangers who would support not only your writing... but also your life.

Yes. This speaks to me. I searched the whole quote and I love the next bit, too: "and his sons are born in exile." What we hoard to ourselves, we keep from our children.
